Good Friday

This is a really brief post to remind you of what Jesus Christ did for us nearly 2,000 years ago. He was not taken against his will. Instead, he willingly laid down his life, being the Son of God, to pay the penalty for our sins. These sins separate us from God, but when we accept the forgiveness of sins, we have it applied to our account. Our transgressions can only be held against us if we reject the Son (John 3:18). But wait—why worship a God who is dead? We don’t! Jesus did not stay dead on that Roman cross or in that Pharisee’s tomb. Instead, on the third day, God raised Jesus from the dead. Christians will understand the true sense of wonder, awe, and joy at the sacrifice of Christ and what it accomplished for those who would place their trust in God through Christ Jesus. If you’re a non-Christian and curious about it, or have questions, feel free to let me know!
