Really good article. Interesting and useful. I used to go to church when I was a kid but discontinued when I was in college. I want to be regular again. Someone suggested that http://www.thomasmeano.com is one of the best ways to know about Christ. His views give energy & new style to life. Do you guys have any idea about him? I will like to talk to you.
ReplyDeleteHi Denice. I certainly wish you well in your journey of spirituality. First, I would like to say the best way to get to know about Jesus Christ is in the Gospels, especially the Gospel of John. I urge you to read this before anything else. And while Meano's website is interesting, it doesn't have much material from which you can learn about Christ directly. I urge you to go back to church, but that is not the most important thing. The most important thing is realizing Jesus Christ is the answer to the problem of those morally wrong things we have done. We cannot undo those things, and we cannot take them back. How do we get forgiveness from God then? He is fair and just, so he cannot just pretend like they did not happen. Instead, he sent his Son Jesus to come to earth as a man, to die on a brutal Roman execution device called a cross, and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Because Jesus did this and lived a perfect life, God accepted his sacrifice on our behalf. So anyone who believes these facts, desires to be saved, and places his trust in God by asking God to save him, will be saved! I pray you will do this today! God bless.
