Blog Spotlight: Tom Messer

Tom Messer is the pastor of the church I am currently a member of, Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. While he is very busy taking care of the issues of the church and preparing sermons, he nonetheless occasionally blogs about practical and relevant aspects of church life and Christian living. Recently he has tackled such issues as the debt crisis and Christian charity towards others, successful and biblical marriages, and worry.

Pastor Messer is one of the leading voices in the “new” Independent Baptist movement. His heart is to see the church of God take the Gospel to the whole world, and live out godly and biblical principles to that end. I think you’ll find his blog to be refreshing, uplifting, and helpful. One note for those who expect a larger volume of posting: generally, Pastor Messer posts 1-2 times per month.
